Interviewer :
We are doing a survey to find out where people buy their food. Would you mind answering a few questions ?
Woman 1 :
Ok.
Interviewer :
Well, first of all , where do you buy most of your food?
Woman 1 :
At the local supermarket.
Interviewer :
What is the main reason for shopping at the supermarket?
Woman 1 :
It is easier and quicker than going to lots of small shops. You can get everything in one place .
Interviewer :
Do you buy everything at the supermarket?
Woman 1 :
No, we buy our fruit and vegetables at the market.
Interviewer :
Why is that ?
Woman 1 :
I think they are fresher and they taste better than supermarket fruit and vegetables.
Interviewer :
Thank you.
Interviewer 2:
Good morning. I am doing a food survey. Could I ask you some questions ?
Man : Certainly.
Interviewer :
Thanks. Could you tell me where you buy most of your food?
Man :
we buy different food in different places, but I would say we buy most in the local market.
Interviewer :
Do you prefer the market to the supermarket?
Man :
Yes, definitely. Supermarket prices are quite high and there is too much choice.
Interviewer :
Too much choice?
Man :
Yes, if we go to the supermarket , it always takes us a long time to decide what to buy. In the market, there is less choice and most things are cheaper. so we save money and we spend less time shopping.
Interviewer : Thank you. That is very interesting.
Interviewer 3 :
Good morning. we are doing a survey to find out where people buy their food. Would you mind answering a few questions?
Woman 2 : No, that is fine.
Interviewer :
Ok. Can I start by asking you where you get most of your food?
Woman 2 :
That is an interesting question. We have a small farm, so we produce a lot of our own food. We don't buy any fruit or vegetables – we grow all our own – it is organic and always fresh. We also keep chickens, so we never have to buy eggs.
Interviewer :
What about butter and cheese?
Woman 2 : We have a few cows and goats, so we make our own.
Interviewer : and milk?
Woman 2 : Yes, of course.
Interviewer : So, what do you buy from shops?
Woman 2 : Things we don't grow ourselves like bread, rice , some of our meat.
Interviewer :
And where do you buy these things?
Woman 2 : The supermarket, mainly.
Interviewer : Thanks very much.
